FIAT - A WHOLE NEW SPIN 360 VIDEO

Objective

Give FIAT fans on social media a whole new way to look at the capable FIAT 500X crossover.




Strategy

Create an innovative, immersive 360-video experience of a full-circle journey through city, forest, beach, and snow—viewable on Facebook and YouTube.




Execution

We shot the same FIAT at four methodically scouted locations to ensure the sun was in the same global position in each quadrant.

The Nokia OZO captured the 360 via 8 overlapping stereoscopically positioned cameras and 8 ambisonic microphones, all monitored by the director in real-time via a virtual reality headset, in full-360 surround, with stereoscopic depth of field.


Results

The final result was an incredible and ingeniously compiled panorama with receptive audio—all triggered by viewer direction and movement. With more than 30M impressions, 5.4M video view, avideo view rate of more than 20% and a Shorty Awards Finalis
